Antimicrobial Usage and Resistance in Eastern Canadian Cow-calf Herds
What is this project about?
Research on this topic has not been conducted in Ontario since 1999 and has never been conducted in Quebec or the Maritimes. Therefore, there is a current gap in AMU/AMR data in cow-calf surveillance. The purpose of this research is to get a better understanding of AMU in the beef industry and to establish a baseline for antimicrobial stewardship that is practical for producers.
